March 13-15 Mid-March Mindfulness Week. The counselors, along with various community members are offering a variety of mindfulness activities. Whether you have experience or are new to mindfulness, you are welcomed to attend any of the events.
Monday, March 13, lunch hour, coloring in the library
- We often see young children coloring but it is not just for kids, it is great for everyone. Coloring is therapeutic for all. It is a stress-free activity that can help quiet the mind, reduce stress and anxiety, and help train the brain to focus.
Monday, March 13, 4:30pm-5:30pm, Zen Walk, meet at the dome, lower dance studio
- Do you always see meditation/Zen as someone sitting still in a quiet place? Stereotype! Wearing your clothes could be Zen. Drinking your water could be Zen. Eating your food could be Zen. Walking could be Zen. Zen Walk has been practiced in Shaolin Temple by monks since hundreds of years ago. Find yourself impatient sitting still to meditate? Come join us to experience some Meditation in Motion.

- Stretch your body and strengthen your core while focusing your mind and breath on this whole body workout. All levels welcome. Bring a mat.
